The School of Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation (SEBI) was established in 2017 as part of a feasibility study commissioned by the tenth Vice-Chancellor of the University of Guyana, Prof. Ivelaw Griffith. SEBI operates at the University of Guyana, Tain Berbice and Turkeyen, Georgetown campuses.
SEBI’s student philosophy is built around developing students with high standards of Professionalism, Academics, Character, Engagement, and Services.

The School offers undergraduate degrees with concentrations in accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, management, marketing, tourism, and supply chain management. Master's degree programs in Entrepreneurship & Innovation Management, Procurement Management and Supply Chain Management, executive and professional short courses are also offered by the School.

Our programs facilitate significant cross-disciplinary collaboration, allowing students in other areas to participate in classes and projects that include agro-processing, healthcare management, creative arts management, and environmental management. Additionally, staff members provide academic advising, intervention, and support services to students.

The team of SEBI is led by Prof. Leyland Lucas, who has been the Dean since the School’s establishment in 2017. The Dean provides the overall management of the School and is the link between the School and its many stakeholders, including those at the university, the external community, alumni, and international institutions. The Dean is supported by two Assistant Deans: Dr. Hector Edwards, Assistant Dean for Administration, and Dr. Kiven Pierre, Assistant Dean for Student Services.
